Add a little sparkle in your garden by giving your old garden angels a makeover!
Makeover Angel ~ inspirations
This little angel was given to me many years ago and she has always been a muse in my garden and the subject of my of my photographs.
Here's a couple of pictures of her in the early days.
Before the makeover. As you can see she has a lot of little friends.
I cleaned her up and gave her a fresh coat of black acrylic paint.
Before & After Makeover.
Started by giving her a black topcoat.
Once dried I applied a royal blue acyclic paint all over her.
Here is where the fun begins. I than applied various colours to her wings, painted her hair gold, her tunic green, her flower turquoise. Once dried I applied a few coats of Patina Green Topcoat. It usually takes a few hours to a few days for the patina to start showing.
I used paint colours that I had, which happens to match my garden them colours.
Here is the Patina Green Topcoat reviling its effects. Im pleased with the results.
Painting and making things is my favorite thing to do on sunny summer Sunday afternoon's. It reminds me of being at the cottage growing up, where we did every craft imaginable with our mom. This little garden angel fairy needed a serious makeover. I just put a couple of coats of patina green topcoat to finish her. Follow me for more inspirational creations.
